No Three-Peat This Year

This year the NBA will crown a new champion for the first time in almost three seasons. Kobe Bryant and the two time defending world champs, Los Angeles Lakers were swept out of the 2^nd round of the Western Conference semi-finals. The Dallas Mavericks won all four games and finished the last game with a bang. An 86-122 loss marks the second worst playoff loss in former Lakers Coach Phil Jackson and Kobe Bryant. The Lakers season has come to a close but something much bigger and greater has finally come to an end. The most successful coach in NBA history Phil Jackson has retired. His resume includes winning five NBA titles with the Lakers led by Bryant, and winning six titles in the 80s and 90s with Michael Jordan leading the way. However much you may dislike the Lakers you cannot help but honor such a great coach and even better person.
